Well done Golden Gate Chapter!

Bob Acheson
SCTE Member of the Year for 2014
He won the most prestigious award this year at the SCTE EXPO in Denver Colorado. keep in mind this out of all the SCTE members in the world(SCTE is International). He will also receive a life time membership!
When we started putting together the nomination, we realized very quickly how great Bob looks on paper! The response was overwelming from all the board members from California and Arizona to tell their connection with Bob. We are truly honored to have such a dedicated individual like Bob working with us.
Thank you Bob!

Chris Miranda
Spirit of the Games Winner at the SCTE International Cable-Tec Games 2014
The SCTE International Cable-Tec Games took place in Denver, CO on September 23, 2014. 30 contestants from the USA, Canada, and Bolivia competed in 7 hands-on events: Drop Connection, Cable Splicing, Fiber ...Splicing, MTDR, OTDR, Meter Reading, and Cable Jeopardy. Chris Miranda represented SCTE Region 1 at the Cable-Tec Games and although he didn’t win the International Championship, he did receive the Spirit of the Games Award. The Spirit of the Games Award is awarded yearly to a participant, staff member, or host vendor who truly embraces and exhibits sportsmanship and the learning environment at the games.

Jackie Farris-2013
The first non-member volunteer of the year(Gloria Cook Award). She has done so much for the Golden Gate chapter over the years. It was very easy for the board to determine who the very first recipient was going to be.
Thank you Jackie!
