1989: Earthquake! Harrigan’s equilibrium is tested at 5:04pm as he stood at the "facility" in Alameda - all things considered, damage to our systems was minimal - Cal State was OK and the only hub to go down was Cupertino where an AML rack fell over. At the SCTE board meeting we encourage all to vote in the upcoming election and the next seminar will cover towers and headends. 1991: Converter repair in San Jose is still being done in house. 1992: DMX project "Cable radio". 1995: Bay bridge fiber has been delivered and half will be pulled in this next weekend and all may be in and spliced by Halloween. 1997: Final EAS rules are out and all are told to budget for them. 2001: The GGC starts to give its seminars for free.
